Scammed

Scammed! I viewed an Estate Agent's online viewing
and was told to "continue viewing on Vimeo" No way
did I agree to subscribe nor give them any of my
details. Found email confirming my subscription.
Spent the whole of my one day off trying to
unsubscribe, impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Are they
allowed to do this? I gave them a star just to post
this review. Avoid this company.

Watching videos on this site is a nightmare

Watching videos on this site is a nightmare.
No back or forward 10/30 seconds, no resume from where you left off. Absolute mess of a website and their app is no better.
God forbid you want to watch a movie, such as: "James Acaster: Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999" available now ;)

Vimeo has an issue with its platform…

Vimeo has an issue with its platform which is preventing video downloads. Vimeo's Tech Support team has been contacted about a week ago. We are still waiting for a reply.

THE WORST SITE FOR CONTENT CREATORS

Vimeo is the worst platform to use based on my own experience.
Their censors revel in a capricious & bias exercise of their policies in ways that's detrimental to any content creator. I would give them no stars, if it was possible.
It's horrible! It's terrible! Please stay far away from them...!

Do not use this service

Do not use this service. Even after cancelling they some how got my new card info and tried to charge me over $240. Stay far away. It's not worth it. There are other video makers out there that are FAR cheaper and better.

Beware of these thieves

Vimeo terminated our premium yearly paid membership account without any prior notice or legitimate reason following a technical bug on their platform. Not only do they refuse to acknowledge the truth, but they stole time and money from us. Not using investing time and finances into businesses with such unlawful and unfriendly practices is a lesson we've learned the hard way...be careful which video platform you team with

Vimeo is its own format and its hyperlinks are not compatible with eScreenz

Vimeo is its own format and hyperlinks not compatible with eScreenz. We use eScreenz. So we can use YourTube and every other hyperlink known to man... but not Vimeo.

I begrudge giving Vimeo one star but…

I begrudge giving Vimeo one star but you can’t give less! Despite charging fees that are supposed to give you access to faster customer services I struggled for weeks.
Their customer service is appalling, which is a shame because the platform seems good. In the end they lost a paying customer and I deleted my account.
I provided many opportunities for them to contact me and discuss the problems I was having but they don’t care. I’d advise anyone to think carefully before paying subscriptions to Vimeo.

It's a Scam If You Want To Regularly Upload

I've been using Vimeo since 2013, both to showcase student projects and my video work. I was a paying Vimeo Plus member for a few years as well. I felt forced to upgrade to Vimeo plus due to their total upload limit of 5gb for free accounts being a constant constraint, and it's nearly impossible to keep an updated portfolio unless you exponentially decrease your file sizes. Vimeo is a good place to build your portfolio of professional client work, but ONLY IF you don't mind paying for Vimeo Plus or Vimeo Business FOREVER. After a few years of Vimeo Plus, my account had 2 school projects removed for DMCA claims, despite educational purposes being fair use of copyrighted materials. Vimeo not only refused to restore the educational video, but offered no real support, telling me I would need to contact the record label for a retraction, which is impossible without legal counsel. Lastly, Vimeo said they would disable my account if I were to get a third DMCA claim. So I set all 14GB of my public videos to private and canceled my Vimeo Plus membership. It's frustrating to continue to pay for a service when they are one step away from disabling your account at any moment... based on unresolvable CLAIMS of copyright infringement. After canceling my membership without renewal, Vimeo deleted my source files, and locked my ability to upload since the account still has 14GB worth of content uploaded, and the limit for non-paid accounts is 5GB. The second you stop paying for Vimeo, they stop caring. So don't build your portfolio on Vimeo unless you don't mind paying them for life. Another reason that contributed to my cancelation and this negative review are their staff picks were always radical left wing political propaganda.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. Dreadful support and a very poor product. The live option did not work at all, nearly 80% of the time. So disappointed.

Vimeo has charged me and I am not a member.

Vimeo has charged me $500.06. I am not even a member. I cannot get ahold of anyone for correction. I believe they just stole this money.

A kind of nice video service though its way behind youtube tbh. They seem to work on it - so maybe it gets better.

I heard that Vimeo is very anti-Semitic, they wanted to make a Jewish co-host lose his job at a pro-peace channel. It's just like another holocaust in my opinion... or even worse, the immigration crisis of Latin Americans going to the US.
